What insurance should I take out for winter sports?

The esf does not provide insurance for its students. We recommend opting for the “Carré Neige,” a specific insurance that covers you in case of accident or illness.

Ski touring La Plagne: our guides will take you far from the groomed sections

This winter in the Tarentaise, esf La Plagne invites you to give ski touring a go. Accompanied by a high-mountain guide, you’ll be able to explore the great outdoors, away from the marked trails. From ascents to thrilling alpine skiing descents, the wild landscapes of the Paradiski ski area and its off-piste routes offer plenty of opportunities for ski tourers of all levels.

Ski touring in La Plagne: who is it for, where, and in what conditions?

Ski touring is a demanding sport that alternates between ascents using climbing skins and guided off-piste descents.

Whilst there is no specific level required to practise ski touring in the mountains, you do need to be comfortable on red or even black slopes and be able to ski on all types of snow.

With esf La Plagne, you’ll have access to:

Ski touring lessons for all levels (beginner ski tourers, intermediate ski touring circuits, expert-level outings);
A variety of ski touring routes to explore the Tarentaise Valley;
Safe excursions accompanied by a trained La Plagne ski touring guide (ski touring safety equipment, avalanche risk management, checking snow conditions, etc.).

By choosing a private lesson, you’ll be able to get started with ski touring or improve your skills in the best possible conditions. Over the course of three hours, your instructor will guide you through this winter activity in La Plagne in a group of one to four people, tailoring the route to your ability, preferences and the weather.
